927CW Fire and Emergency Preparedness Advisor Hinkley Point C, Somerset Long term, Full time £450 PAYE to £525 UMBRELLA per day Job Title: Fire and Emergency Preparedness Advisor Description & Background: We're seeking a skilled Fire and Emergency Preparedness Advisor to join the Hinkley Point C project, ensuring best practices in fire safety and emergency preparedness across this complex construction site. You'll play a crucial role in developing and implementing comprehensive fire safety arrangements while supporting the project's commitment to exceptional safety standards. Responsibilities: Conduct detailed fire risk assessments across all construction areas Develop and maintain fire and emergency response plans Draft and communicate clear evacuation procedures Perform regular fire safety inspections and audits Deliver fire safety awareness training and toolbox talks Assist in fire-related incident investigations Ensure compliance with safety legislation and regulations Work with construction teams to embed strong safety culture Maintain emergency response equipment and resources Plan and execute emergency response exercises Report through Insight site reporting system Support CDM regulations and license conditions Experience Required: 5 years EHS experience on large construction sites Strong knowledge of UK Fire Safety legislation Experience in power plant or oil & gas industry preferred NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety Current CITB MAPS or CCNSG certification Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite Strong technical knowledge of construction EHS practices Experience with complex site layouts Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Desirable Qualifications: ISO45001 Internal Auditor Certificate First Aid at Work certification Accident/Incident Investigation Training Fire Risk Assessor Certification Experience in multi-cultural environments Additional language skills Salary, Hours and Location: £450 PAYE to £525 UMBRELLA per day Site-based at Hinkley Point C, Somerset Long term, Full-time position This role offers an exceptional opportunity to contribute to nuclear safety while working on one of Britain's largest infrastructure projects.
