Your Role as Children & Young People's Outreach Worker: As a Children & Young People's Outreach Worker, you will provide high-quality practical and emotional support to young people aged 0-18 years who are living with the effects of domestic abuse and violence. You'll help them overcome traumatic experiences and understand that abuse is never their fault. Working within the community, you'll develop trusting relationships that empower young people to define and achieve their own goals. Key responsibilities include: Promoting understanding of healthy relationships and building resilience through one-to-one, family, and group work Managing your own caseload while working autonomously in the community Conducting ongoing risk assessments and safety planning Participating in Early Help Assessments and multi-agency collaboration Building parent/carer connections and adopting a whole-family approach Maintaining detailed case records and providing regular reports What You Will Bring: Experience of working with children and young people, providing emotional and practical support Knowledge of risk management through creating action and safety plans Understanding of the vulnerabilities and complex needs of young people affected by domestic abuse Knowledge of Early Help Assessment Framework Strong understanding of domestic abuse issues, including honour-based violence and FGM Excellent communication and record-keeping skills Ability to work collaboratively with families and other agencies Why Join Key Unlocking Futures?
