Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and skilled DC Controls Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining DC control systems for our client portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and develop DC control systems for a variety of industrial and commercial applications
2. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing DC control systems
3. Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine client needs and system requirements
4. Create and maintain technical documentation, including schematics and wiring diagrams
5. Operate all MEP systems within the Critical Facility/Data Centre in a competent and confident manner, including MV/LV Electrical isolations/operations. Make recommendations for improvement and provide concise technical reports when required.
6. Ensure that Specialist Vendors service visits are completed efficiently, and quality of work has been inspected and recommendations are communicated to the duty JLL FM team and Account Manager.
7. Liaise with the supply chain when ordering M&E components for remedial/corrective works.
8. Undertake Site Specific Technical Assessments and Skills Gap Analysis
9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
10. Provide technical support and training to clients and team members
11. Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry standards in DC controls
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
1. Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in Critical Environments such as Banking HQ and Data Centres.
2. LV Authorised Person (A Bonus)
3. Electrical/Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship or similar
4. C&G Pts. 1 & 2, equivalent or exceeds.
5. 18th Edition IEE: Wiring and Installation (Ability to attain 18th Edition through additional training if you have 17th Edition)
6. C&G 2391 test and inspection; BS 7671:2001 for inspection, testing and certification.
7. Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with all levels of staff.
8. Proactive in achieving the highest standard of operation.
9. Have good IT and report writing skills.
10. Ability to work under pressure whilst remaining calm, clear thinking and able to deliver the required services to the client within given time constraints.
