Health and Wellbeing Assistant
Salary: Scale 3, Pt 5, £19,095 (actual salary) per annum
Hours: 32.5 hours per week, 8.30 am to 3.30 pm, term time plus 5 days

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Crossley Heath for a confident, caring and organised person to join our team. The role requires candidates to assess the medical and welfare needs of students and staff and administer front-line First Aid. The successful candidate will ensure that students with ongoing medical needs are supported in school in line with their Individual Health Care Plans, administer approved medication to students and maintain records and reports, including those for statutory requirements. Other duties will involve administration connected to the healthcare of students, including their mental health and wellbeing and coordination of staff training to support healthcare needs where appropriate.
A warm, approachable personality is essential for this role and the successful candidate must have a high degree of integrity, professionalism and be able to cope calmly and efficiently with any eventualities. You will need to be flexible in approach, proactive and be able to work on your own initiative whilst being part of a wider team. A current First Aid qualification together with previous experience of working in a healthcare or mental health/well-being role is essential.
