Our client is a respected regional law firm offering their clients a full range of legal services. They are renowned for excellent client care. They have a steady workforce and broad diet of clients both private and commercial.
Currently, they are recruiting for an experienced solicitor or chartered legal executive to join their children law team. The team is known for its technical expertise and pragmatic approach, dealing with a wide range of matters including children issues and disputes, care proceedings, adoption, and surrogacy.
The firm's solicitors are skilled advocates who appear regularly in court, including in the High Court in public and private law proceedings. They often receive instructions from professional guardians to act in the most serious and complex cases. They regularly conduct their own advocacy but also have excellent relationships with counsel and other experts.
Clients vary from affluent professionals to the most vulnerable and disadvantaged in society; the firm and the department pride themselves on providing high levels of service to all clients.
This is a highly expert team who work together to deliver exceptional service to family law clients. There is an existing caseload as the team generates referrals on a regular basis.
The candidate:
1. Ideally candidates will be a member of the Law Society Children panel, although those with suitable experience who will work towards panel membership will also be strongly considered.
2. Must be a team player who displays flexibility and a supportive approach to colleagues.
3. Experienced in publicly funded Child Care work with the ability to service privately funded cases.
4. Experience in own advocacy is an advantage.
5. Ideally 5 days per week, although 4-day working would be considered.
