Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer – Electrical Bias to join our client, a leading manufacturer of bearings for the aerospace and automotive industry.
The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, fault finding, repairing and improving on a wide range of production equipment, including CNC lathes, mills and grinding machines.
This is a permanent opportunity with a competitive salary, estimated at £45,000 - £60,000 per annum. You will be working on a double day shift rotating schedule, with opportunities for overtime.
About the Role
* Preventative Maintenance: Carry out maintenance tasks in accordance with schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance.
* Breakdown Resolution: Resolve equipment failures promptly and efficiently.
* Fault Finding: Identify and rectify the root cause of equipment malfunctions.
* Spares Management: Source and purchase necessary spare parts.
* Maintenance Tasks: Perform both electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks as required.
* Electrical Installations: Test and inspect electrical installations to ensure safety and compliance.
* Communication: Communicate effectively with operators, managers, engineers and contractors.
* Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement and contribute to the development of new working practices.
Requirements
* Apprenticeships: Hold relevant industry-recognized qualifications such as City & Guilds, NVQs, BTECs, HNCs or HNDs.
* CNC Experience: Have experience working in a CNC manufacturing environment.
* Maintenance Practices: Understand good maintenance and engineering practices.
* Electrical Knowledge: Possess excellent electrical knowledge.
* Mechatronics Knowledge: Have excellent mechatronics knowledge.
* Preventative Maintenance: Be familiar with preventative maintenance principles and methodologies.
* Autonomy: Be able to work independently and use your own initiative when required.
* Flexibility: Be flexible to work overtime and support a small team.
