Finance and Strategy Manager | £70,000 - £80,000 | Central London (Hybrid - 2 days max)
Simpson Judge has partnered with a privately-owned renewables distributor - one of the UK's leaders in this space.
Due to growth and demand, they're looking for a Finance & Strategy Manager to join their team in this newly created role. The role will have a wide remit across FP&A, Commercial and Strategy.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain the Group's 3-year financial model and annual planning/budgeting model.
• Lead the creation and evaluation of strategic frameworks and opportunities to support decision-making and manage strategic projects.
• Analyse new market opportunities, external policies, strategic initiatives, business development, competitive landscape, and cross-business opportunities to advise on strategic planning.
• Support strategic decisions with evidence, advice, business cases, and presentations.
• Identify issues, develop hypotheses, and communicate insights and recommendations to key decision-makers.
• Drive and lead special projects requested by finance and other business heads.
• Suggest improvements to business strategies to drive growth.
• Produce reports and presentations for the Leadership Team.
• Coordinate and advise on business planning across all units and functions.
• Execute year-over-year financial model analysis.
• Develop financial models to support strategic objectives.
• Lead P&L measurement, control, and improvement projects.
• Maintain accurate forecasting and cash flow models.
• Develop metrics to track and analyse trends and KPIs, including financial performance indicators, and communicate recommendations.
• Collaborate with the Director of Business Intelligence to implement tools and dashboards.
• Coordinate and conduct business valuations.
• Conduct due diligence on mergers, acquisitions, new markets, and products.
Requirements:
• Chartered Accountant (ACA/CA)
• 3+ years in a recognised Consulting / Big 4 firm
• Experience within M&A / Transactions Services / Deals / Consulting team etc
• Financial Modelling skills
• Previous proven work in analytics and planning
