Are you a newly-qualified Occupational Therapist, or do you have some experience working post-qualification in mental health? Are you passionate about enhancing the lives of older people with severe mental illness and using your occupational therapy skills to promote routine, volition, and occupational performance through assessment, practical skills, and knowledge?
Based in Oxford, this newly created role will involve working alongside experienced clinicians to support improved mental health, social inclusion, improved physical health, and greater quality of life.
You will receive professional support, including the Preceptorship Flyer programme, which offers structured guidance for learning and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Engaging older people with severe mental illness
2. Holding a caseload and managing a range of complexities
3. Supporting carers in their role
4. Supporting non-registered staff in developing their skills
5. Contributing to the development of this enhanced service within the Older Adult CMHT
