As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of projects typically valued at less than €5 million. This role encompasses involvement from the initial quotation phase through to commissioning, handover, and project closeout. You will ensure the financial performance and success of the project, delivering the best outcomes for GEA. Responsibilities / Tasks Project Execution: Oversee the entire project lifecycle, ensuring successful completion within scope, cost, quality, and schedule constraints. Ensure projects are delivered on budget. Financial Performance: Accountable for the financial results of the project, including achieving margin goals and managing man-hour estimates. Project Organisation: Organise and lead the project team, providing strong direction and fostering a culture of ownership to meet project objectives. Schedule Management: Plan and maintain the project schedule, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery. Stakeholder Reporting: Report project developments to various stakeholders, including Project Review Meetings and customers Standard Compliance: Ensure all tasks are aligned with GEA’s standard practices and procedures, and meet customer expectations within commercial constraints. Customer Management: Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction throughout project execution. Site Activities: Ensure on-site activities are conducted as planned, with a strong emphasis on Health & Safety. Attend client meetings on-site to facilitate the commissioning of GEA supplied equipment and achieve all KPIs. Claim and Change Management: Manage claims and change orders effectively. Project Integration: Ensure seamless integration of project activities among stakeholders. Risk Management: Perform risk management to mitigate and minimise project risks Lessons Learned: Capture and evaluate lessons learned from each project to inform future projects. Procurement Planning: Create and manage procurement plans with the supply chain to align fabrication and component receipt with the project schedule. Team Leadership: Lead a small team of project engineers without direct line reporting responsibilities. Your Profile / Qualifications Degree in Engineering. More than 3 years experience as a commercial project manager in a manufacturing, engineering, pharmaceutical, or chemical environment. Relevant project management certification. Proficiency in applying project management methodologies and skills in commercial project management. Experience in handling legal and contractual matters. Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and build strong relationships. High attention to detail and commitment to quality. Proficient in risk management and mitigation strategies. Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
