1:1 Teaching Assistant – Elevate Supply, Primary Schools in South Sheffield
Elevate Supply is currently working with primary schools in South Sheffield who are looking to appoint a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to start ASAP.
The Role:
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in a student's day-to-day school life by providing tailored support to meet their specific needs. Your responsibilities will include:
* Classroom support: Assisting with activities, organisation, student engagement, and emotional support
* Support in therapy sessions: Helping students with additional support needs
* Break/Lunch time supervision: Ensuring students are safe and supported during these times
* Keeping progress reports: Monitoring and recording the student's development and progress
To be considered for the role of 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will need:
* An enthusiastic and attentive personality
* An understanding of special educational needs (SEN)
* Experience working with children or in a support capacity
* Experience as a Teaching Assistant (preferable but not essential)
* Experience in an educational or school environment (preferable but not essential)
Additional Information:
* Working hours: Monday to Friday, approximately 8:30am - 3:30pm (with potential for additional hours and responsibilities outside of these times)
* DBS check required: All applicants will be subject to background checks and must have a current DBS certificate (update service registered)
