About the Role
As an Adults Occupational Therapist, you will assess, plan, and deliver interventions to enhance the independence and quality of life of your patients. Working in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, you will ensure holistic and coordinated care that meets individual needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct detailed assessments of patients functional abilities, occupational needs, and living environments.
* Create and implement personalised treatment plans based on assessments and patient-centred goals.
* Provide therapeutic interventions to support daily living and meaningful activities.
* Work closely with healthcare professionals, social workers, carers, and families to deliver integrated care.
* Educate patients and families on adaptive equipment, home modifications, and therapeutic techniques.
* Monitor and document patients progress, adapting treatment plans as needed.
* Recommend and facilitate the use of assistive devices and adaptive technologies.
* Participate actively in multidisciplinary meetings, case conferences, and care planning sessions.
* Stay updated on best practices in occupational therapy and introduce innovative techniques to patient care.
Qualifications and Experience
* Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification.
* Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
* Proven experience working with adults in a health or social care setting.
* Strong understanding of the challenges faced by adults with physical, mental, and social difficulties.
