They are currently recruiting for a Civils Sales Manager to join their team on a full time basis. Key Skills & Competencies: Drive sales performance and achieve revenue targets in the civil engineering and construction materials sector. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and key stakeholders within the civil engineering industry. Identify and develop new business opportunities, expanding the customer base and strengthening the company's position in the market. Work closely with internal teams and logistics to ensure customer satisfaction and seamless delivery of services. Provide precise cost estimates for civil engineering and construction projects to support competitive and profitable tender submissions. Lead the bid and tendering process to secure new projects, ensuring all submissions align with client requirements and company standards. Work closely with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure clarity and efficiency in the estimating and bidding processes. Support business development by identifying trends, opportunities, and strategies to enhance the companys market position. Maintain in-depth knowledge of civil engineering products, solutions, and services to effectively communicate benefits to clients. Prepare and deliver accurate quotes, bids, and proposals in response to client inquiries and project requirements. Lead contract negotiations and ensure favourable terms while maintaining strong client relationships. Provide post-sale support to ensure client satisfaction and resolve any issues promptly. Regularly report on sales performance, market insights, and forecasts to line Manager. Lead, motivate, and train sales teams to achieve goals, ensuring alignment with the companys vision. Ensure all sales activities comply with industry regulations and company policies. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing and reliable service. Essential Criteria: Civil or Structural Engineering Degree or equivalent experience. Have and the ability to deal professionally with customers/clients. Driven individual with an interest in Civil Engineering and Construction. Willingness to contribute to the success of the company in this key role. Good time management, interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a busy team. Excellent organisational skills and clear written and verbal communication skills. Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office programmes. Experience in sales estimating and selling. Ability to read drawings and bar schedules. Planning and organisational skills. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including negotiation and influencing skills. The ability to work unsupervised and under own initiative. AutoCAD skills.
