They are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to manage cost estimations and workflow across M&E and renewables projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in project costings, a solid background in M&E services, and an in-depth understanding of renewable systems. This role is crucial for estimating project costs, managing budgets, and ensuring efficiency across a diverse project portfolio.
Are you the right person for the job?
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Estimator within M&E or renewable energy sectors.
Strong understanding of renewable energy systems, including heat pumps, solar PV and battery storage.
Proficiency with cost estimation and project management
Membership with RICS, CIOB, or a similar professional body is desirable.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and negotiation skills to work effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams
Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and deliver to tight deadlines.
Familiarity with renewable energy incentives and government policies is desirable.
What will your role look like?
Conduct detailed cost estimation and budgeting for M&E and renewable energy projects, including heat pumps, solar, and energy storage systems.
Prepare detailed tenders and quotations for new projects and contribute to the bidding process.
Assess and analyse project specifications, designs, and drawings to create accurate cost forecasts.
Liaise with clients and suppliers to gather project data, understand project requirements, and ensure accuracy
Manage project financials from inception to completion, including cost tracking, budget adjustments and final invoicing details
Perform risk assessments and identify opportunities for cost savings across projects
Support contract administration, reviewing and evaluating contractual terms for project compliance and risk mitigation.
