Sr Advanced Project Engineer at Honeywell in Leicester UK. You will be responsible for leading the Electrical & Instrumentation part of the projects. The Electrical & Instrumentation engineer ensures compliance with contractual specifications as well as applicable codes & standards. You will manage assigned work, ensure compliance with applicable codes & standards, and adherence to QMS. A high focus on On Time Delivery, First Time Right, and customer satisfaction is essential. An in-depth understanding of UK standards is a must. Commitment to project compliance and adhering to a Safety-First culture is required. You should be well versed with all functions required for delivering projects and solutions, including sourcing, design & engineering, and related production aspects. This is a Hybrid Work model, with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as a technical interface with customers, establishing professional relationships to ensure that project requirements are fully defined and agreed. Participate in progressive project review meetings with clients to understand customer requirements and expectations on project deliverables.
* Influence the conceptual design for basic engineering (P&ID, system architecture, layout, FDS, etc.), design verification, and specify electrical cabinets, systems, and electrical equipment. Check and approve engineering documents, including P&ID, wiring diagrams, commissioning manuals, and production procedures.
* Ensure that the engineered solution meets project requirements in terms of functionality, standards, quality, and supporting documentation while minimizing costs by allocating work assignments to the project team and utilizing standard builds & standardized work. Monitor and control assigned work scope against the project plan, ensuring effective change control and identifying risks/opportunities.
* Deliver project engineering, meeting all specification requirements on an agreed schedule, ensuring documentation compliance and on-time delivery of the project. Support PM on project plans, schedules, track budgets, and troubleshooting.
Must Have Skills
* Degree in Instrumentation/Electrical/Electronic or equivalent.
* Experience in a similar role in the process control industry, with in-depth knowledge of flow measurement and regulation of gases.
* Strong knowledge in primary measuring instruments for gases (Flow Meters), secondary measuring instruments (PT, TT, etc.), flow computers (FC), gas chromatographs (GC), and gas quality measurements, as well as programmable logic controllers (PLC), SCADA, and flow & energy calculations (AGA, ISO standards).
