About The Role Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, this position will manage the Site Managers with an element of subcontractor management. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the projects in its entirety and must be competent in managing six aspects of this project i.e. scope, schedule, cost versus revenue, risk, quality and resources. Location: Bamber Bridge, Lancashire Hours: 50 hours per week, 06.00am-16:00pm, Monday to Friday Salary: £40,000 per annum Responsibilities – But Not Limited To Lead and motivate a team to deliver all aspects of planning and operations. Submit accurate records into the sales sheet for works completed each day, ensuring all information is correct, accurate and within budget. Ensuring your management team are liaising with customers, clients, local authorities and other interested third parties regarding past, present, and future works As part of your role phone call outside of normal working hours are to be expected and to be responded to professionally and in a timely manner to ensure operational delivery is upheld. Ensuring sales for your contract are up to date and accurate and within budget. Looking to reduce costs where possible to ensure we are reducing weekly costs to the contract. This is to be tracker weekly and a log to be kept providing data at the end of the financial year should it be required. Where shifts have been lost we must look at all options to recoup. Liaising with commercial on issuing CE’s & dependencies for projects. Ensuring the programme/ tracker of works is up to date and issued out to client by deadline set weekly Ensuring all contract changes for new and existing operatives have been completed and sent through to the correct departments. Manage all day-to-day HR queries ensuring all updates are added to the HR system, and all HR processes and procedures are followed. Sickness and behaviours are to be monitored throughout the year. Evaluate project performance Ensure stakeholder satisfaction To ensure all regulatory data and job specifications are done checked and fed back to a high standard. To deliver on-site training in the form of toolbox talks, daily site briefings to ensure all site staff are aware of their responsibilities, procedures to be followed and specific hazards. To ensure mandatory training and competency certification for all site staff are valid and copies available. To ensure that stipulated PPE is worn by all staff in compliance with mandated procedures and legislation. To ensure that accident / incident reporting and investigations are undertaken in a timely manner as instructed and in accordance with the safety management system, and that issues arising are addressed in a timely manner. Responsible for the timely rectification and closure of any actions stemming from safety audits and inspections undertaken. To ensure that all planned Safety Audits and Inspections are completed in accordance with the approved programme. To assist and support the senior leadership team in ensuring contract compliance with statutory legislation, Company Standards, processes and procedures. To identify and communicate to Stores and Logistics, the requirements for ordering any site deliverables and the timely returns of goods receipts notices as instructed, this will include security and timely off-hire as instructed Ensuring near miss submissions are being sent through by yourselves and your teams. Ensure your management team are performing quality on site assessments checks (x8 Audits per month, minimum 4 onsite audits) and that you have met your monthly target. (2 x Audits). To provide sufficient and timely supervision, assessments and coaching to ensure your managers are performing to our sufficient company standards. If standards are not upheld ensuring that coaching and if required disciplinary action has been taken. Ensuring all Managers and Operatives have appropriate vehicles, equipment, stores, and skills to perform allocated work. Review performance in operations, customer and safety and carrying out any toolbox talks, task briefs and Safety Alert briefs. To promote safe working practices, ensuring full implementation and compliance with safety policy. To produce and implement site specific risk assessments and method statements where appropriate. Tracking subcontractor performance. To undertake the day-to-day management, co-ordination and supervision of the team. To ensure staffing levels meet the needs of the project, checking peaks and troughs in workloads, holidays and absence levels. Experience And Qualifications Required For The Role Management Skills - the ability to manage and lead a delivery team Systems - competent in the use of Excel, Word, Power point and Outlook. Health, Safety & Environment - The ability to assess the impact our operations have on Health & Safety matters. Thorough knowledge of H & S policies/procedures and safe systems of work. Operational Understanding - comprehensive experience, understanding and qualifications/accreditations in accordance with the role being undertaken to deliver contractual commitments, operational and safety requirements.
