White Label are recruiting an exclusive client in the Lancaster area. The company specialises in the renewables, oil & gas industry and are seeking a Production Design Engineer to join their extremely busy team.
The business is winning major contracts and has a healthy pipeline stretching well into 2027.
Purpose of the Role:
To design, develop, procure, and implement the infrastructure required to support and optimise production PU manufacturing projects in accordance with the business.
Package:
1. Up to £42k depending on level of experience
2. Holidays: 24 days plus 8 bank holidays
3. Early finish on a Friday

Main Responsibilities for the Production Design Engineer:
1. Factory layout using CAD
2. Specification & purchasing of capital equipment and operational equipment for maintenance and continuous improvement
3. Developing and improving operating procedures
4. Working with operations to assess continuous improvement opportunities
5. Design of bespoke jigs, fixtures and handling aids, developing their specification for procurement
6. Implementing and proving out process improvements; fitting and testing prior to hand over to Production
7. Work in accordance with ISO9001, 45001, and 18001
Requirements:
1. Minimum 2 years' experience in engineering/manufacturing
2. Must have an Engineering background
3. Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks experience
4. Strong communication skills - dealing with suppliers etc
5. Ideally a working knowledge of pipework, pumps, pneumatic & hydraulic systems
6. HNC or Degree in Mechanical / Production Engineering
7. Full UK working rights - business isn't in a position to offer sponsorship
