Part-time Year 5 Teaching Job in Otley, Leeds Starting after the Easter holidays. I am recruiting a part-time Y5 Teacher for a wonderful primary school in the North Leeds area who I have worked with for many years. They describe themselves as a happy, caring school for both children and the adults that work there and this is absolutely the only experience I've had working with them. All the teachers who have been there for daily supply and longer-term placements have found it to be a warm, welcoming and supporting school with a close knit team culture. Your new role This part-time primary teaching job will involve taking responsibility for the Y5 class on a Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (there is some flexibility on these days potentially). You will be sharing the responsibility for the class with the SENCO covering one day and the HLTA covering the other. They are looking for someone who will fully commit to the school and the class, supporting them with the planning, assessment, report writing and other class teacher responsibilities. As a result, the role will be paid to teacher pay scales. The class has 25 mixed-ability pupils with a wide range of needs in class, including dyslexia and dyspraxia. There is one child who has a 1:1 TA assigned at all times that accesses the classroom and lessons for a limited amount of time each day. There is a fantastic TA in class who acts up as HLTA to cover the class one day per week so they have an excellent understanding of the class. The role is to start after Easter until the summer holidays. However, they would love for the appointed teacher to come into school for a day or two before then to do a handover with the current teacher and to get to know the class and school.
