Harlescott Junior School is a thriving and oversubscribed junior school, graded good by Ofsted in May 2023.
We are seeking our next leader with the drive and determination to build upon the excellent work of our current headteacher.
This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional professional with leadership experience ready to take the next step in their career and lead a great junior school.
The Trust is looking for a dynamic and committed leader who will:
1. Demonstrate a clear understanding of our school and Trust’s values.
2. Have a strong vision for education and high aspirations for pupils and staff; inspiring a love of learning, positive behaviour, personal development, and compassion for others.
3. Believe in and demonstrate the value of visible leadership throughout the school and community.
4. Demonstrate robust communication skills and be adept at communicating with parents, pupils, governors, staff and community stakeholders alike including managing safeguarding matters.
5. Build on all we have achieved together so far to continue developing high standards of individual pupil and school achievement.
6. Show sound judgement in strategic, curriculum-led budget planning.
7. Be able to work closely with the headteacher of the feeder infant school based on the same site.
8. Be willing to contribute their skillset to the wider Multi Academy Trust and work with our team of headteachers to improve outcomes for all Trust pupils.
In turn, you will be supported by our passionate and committed leadership team, employees and governors; our children who love to learn and a strong and vibrant school community.
The school is part of the Severn Bridges Multi Academy Trust collaborating closely with Greenfields, Mount Pleasant, Radbrook primary schools and Sundorne Infant School and Nursery.
The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and expects all staff and volunteers to share the same commitment. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check and will follow a safer recruitment policy.
