Compass Associates is thrilled to partner with a leading provider of healthcare solutions to the Private Medical Insurance (PMI) and corporate sectors. Due to significant growth opportunities, we are seeking a Business Development Consultant to drive expansion and establish strong relationships with insurers, employers, and corporate clients across the UK.
The Role:
As a Business Development Consultant, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities within the PMI and corporate sectors. The role involves strategic planning, tender responses, and high-level sales execution to expand the company's footprint.
Key Responsibilities:
* Identify and research new business opportunities within the PMI and corporate sectors
* Schedule meetings and prepare impactful presentations for new clients
* Respond to sales inquiries, following company processes
* Take ownership of end-to-end tendering processes, ensuring high-quality responses
* Present proposals in tender situations and manage contractual negotiations
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients
* Track market trends and competitor activities to inform strategy
* Provide monthly business pipeline reports to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT)
* Ensure smooth handover of new business to operational teams for seamless implementation
About You:
We are looking for a results-driven professional with extensive experience in sales and business development within the PMI, insurance, and corporate healthcare sectors. You will have a track record of exceeding annual sales targets and a strong understanding of tendering processes and client relationship management.
Essential Criteria:
* Proven experience in sales and business development within healthcare
* Track record of achieving £2M+ in annual sales
* Expertise in managing tender processes and writing high-quality proposals
* Strong relationship management skills and experience presenting to executive stakeholders
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
* Full UK driving licence
The Location:
This is a home-based role, with regular UK-wide travel based on business opportunities. Monthly visits to the Ipswich HQ are required for team meetings and strategic planning.
