The Role
The client is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Construction Manager to oversee and manage construction projects across various sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with relevant UK regulations and industry standards. This role requires overseeing all phases of construction, including planning, execution, and handover, and involves occasional international travel for overseas projects.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in construction management, with a solid understanding of engineering principles and construction methodologies. They will possess strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The candidate should be proactive in risk management, problem-solving, and stakeholder coordination, while maintaining a focus on high-quality standards and safety protocols. A background in managing projects within regulated environments is essential.
Applicants must have in-depth knowledge of CDM regulations and UK health, safety, and environmental standards. Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project or Primavera is required. A valid CSCS card, SMSTS, relevant health and safety qualifications, and a full UK driving licence are essential. Flexibility to travel both within the UK and overseas is also required.
