Our client, a leading contractor specializing in Passive Fire Protection and Fire Door Projects, is seeking a Contracts Manager to oversee nationwide commercial projects. This is a key role, ensuring the efficient management and delivery of fire protection works across a variety of commercial sites.
As the Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects from start to finish, managing teams, coordinating resources, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Oversight: Manage the delivery of Passive Fire Protection and Fire Door projects across multiple commercial sites nationwide, ensuring high standards of quality and safety.
Team Leadership: Lead and motivate project teams, ensuring all works are completed on schedule and meet safety and regulatory compliance standards.
Budget Management: Control project costs, ensuring that work is completed within budget, and manage financial forecasting.
Client Liaison: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met, and all works are in line with contractual obligations.
Site Inspections: Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, quality of work, and ensure all safety protocols are adhered to.
Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with current fire safety regulations and health and safety standards.
Diary Management: Take ownership of managing your own diary, coordinating site visits, meetings, and project schedules.
Subcontractor Management: Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and labour.
Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior management, including project progress reports, budget tracking, and any issues that arise.Key Requirements:
Experience: Proven experience as a Contracts Manager working on Passive Fire Protection and Fire Door Projects, specifically within commercial construction environments.
CSCS Card: Must hold a Black or Gold CSCS Card.
Project Management Skills: Strong background in managing large-scale commercial projects with experience in both site management and client-facing roles.
Knowledge of Regulations: In-depth understanding of fire safety regulations, including relevant codes and standards.
Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership, organisational, and time management skills.
Autonomous Working: Ability to work independently, managing your own diary and balancing multiple projects simultaneously.
Full UK Driving Licence: Due to nationwide travel, a valid driving licence is essential.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.Benefits:
