As a Motor Vehicle Tutor in prison education, you will deliver a high-quality curriculum, providing Motor Mechanics qualifications up to Level 2. Other responsibilities include:
* Identifying the individual needs of learners and ensuring that all have an individual learning plan linked to their long-term employment goals.
* Reviewing learner progression to ensure training meets their identified needs.
* Preparing, delivering, and reviewing comprehensive lesson plans that address the training needs of the group, including basic literacy, numeracy, language, and other social/employability barriers.
* Gaining feedback from learners and other sources to improve curriculum content.
* Engaging and motivating individuals and learner groups to increase retention.
Minimum Requirements:
* A Degree or professional qualification appropriate to the work.
* Assessor verification.
* Teaching Qualification (recognised or willingness to obtain within the first two years of service).
* Knowledge and experience of current teaching and learning strategies.
* Excellent team working, communication, and interpersonal skills.
The successful candidate will be required to obtain the appropriate prison clearance before starting the role and maintain this throughout employment.
