My client, an industry leading construction and civil engineering firm, is looking for an experienced Civil's Construction CRE to join their expanding team in Northumberland.
Candidate Responsibilities:
1. Undertake Civil Engineering activities including requirements capture, design, compliance management, design integration, subcontractor management, construction integration, CDM, project delivery, and construction validation.
2. Support the Project Team with technical guidance, leadership, site safety, and monitor the project's performance to maximize efficiency and project delivery.
3. Coordinate the Civil Engineering activities between the Subcontractors Responsible Engineer(s), Programme Engineering Manager, Principle Project Engineer, Project Management, Construction Manager, and Design Delivery Managers.
4. Support the Project team with the development of suitable project plans to support efficient resource management and project delivery.
5. Develop and adapt the project technical instructions for Civil Engineering to enable the project methodology and installation activities to be undertaken in an efficient and safe manner.
6. Assist with the development of engineering design details based upon the project technical requirements.
7. Capability and technical knowledge to act as the Civil design engineer where allocated.
8. Ensure that the risk assessment and mitigation plan is adhered to so technical risks are managed effectively.
9. Undertake design reviews to ensure that Design is delivered to programme and the output is compliant with defined scope and applicable standards.
10. Ensure integration of design, installation, and commissioning activities and that the end product meets client specifications.
11. Carry out technical audits as required to ensure the project is following applicable standards and practices.
12. Support the Project team with the delivery of Civil Engineering design and construction activities, construction risk and mitigation, method statements, and work package plans.
13. Ensure engineering delivery and technical change is integrated with design, possession planning, installation, testing, and other disciplines, and provide a mechanism for effective communication with the Project team.
14. Highlight and document project decorations or temporary non-compliance as required by the Project team.
Candidate Requirements:
1. Proven experience working as a Civils Construction CRE on large infrastructure projects.
2. 5+ years experience working in the Rail sector on Civils projects.
3. GRIP/PACE knowledge.
4. Degree qualified.
