Drainage Engineer (Nights)

We operate 24/7, and you will be required to work flexible hours, weekends, and participate in an on-call rota. Full training, PPE, and use of company equipment will be provided to ensure that all our drainage engineers have the right tools, competency, and confidence to undertake the work to Lanes’ high standard of operation, regardless of background or previous experience.
Position: Night Drainage Engineer
Location: Slough Treatment Works, Home Counties North (Slough, Berkshire)
Job Type: Permanent, full-time
Hours: 4 nights on, 4 nights off, 40.25 hours (start times to be discussed in interview)
Salary: OTE £34,000 per annum (made up of basic pay, overtime, on-call allowance, and bonuses)

About the Role:
Due to continued growth and development, we are looking for customer-focused individuals to join us in our Utility Division, working on our Thames Water contract service to deliver effective solutions to wastewater network and drainage problems.
* Travel to residential sites in an HGV around the Home Counties North area, using a high-pressure water jet for restoration.
* Clean, clear, and maintain drainage systems.
* Record each job report correctly on the specialist equipment provided.
* Run diagnostics and repairs on drains using electro-mechanical and specialist CCTV survey equipment.
* Rodding blockages.
* Deliver good customer service.
* Maintain good health and safety practices while carrying out works.
* Be aware of all Lanes Group policies and your responsibilities towards them.

About You:
The ideal candidate will be hardworking, respectful, and compliant with health and safety standards. Experience in the use of high-pressure jetting equipment is useful but not essential. Other drainage qualifications (e.g., NRSWA and Confined Spaces) are an advantage.
