An established international architecture practice is looking to appoint a talented and motivated Project Architect to join their growing team in Glasgow, with a focus on delivering high-quality residential projects across North America. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced architect who thrives in a design-led, collaborative environment and is interested in contributing to a diverse portfolio of work that spans multiple time zones and cultural contexts. The role is ideally suited to an ARB registered architect with strong residential experience, particularly in mid-to-large scale developments. From concept design through to technical delivery, you will play a key role in leading project stages, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring design integrity and technical excellence are maintained throughout. The successful candidate will be joining a well-resourced studio that values innovation, sustainability, and a people-first design approach. Although the work will be based in North America, the position itself is located in Glasgow, offering the benefits of working within a supportive UK studio while gaining exposure to international projects. Due to the nature of the work, the role may require slightly adjusted working hours to accommodate project coordination and client meetings across time zones. A typical working day might run from 10am to 7pm, enabling seamless collaboration with teams and stakeholders in North America. This opportunity will suit someone who enjoys working as part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team and who brings both creativity and technical strength to their work. You’ll need to demonstrate strong experience delivering residential projects through all RIBA stages, ideally with some knowledge of North American building codes and standards (although this is not essential as they can teach you this – you just need the willingness to learn). An aptitude for BIM and digital coordination is essential, along with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. The studio offers a positive, design-focused atmosphere with access to robust project support, continuing professional development, and the opportunity to work on meaningful residential developments that make a difference in communities. As part of a wider international practice, you’ll also benefit from a diverse and collaborative network of professionals who share a passion for high-quality architecture and long-lasting, sustainable design. If you’re an experienced Project Architect who is ready to step into a role with greater autonomy, project diversity, and a more global outlook—while still working from a UK base—this is an excellent opportunity to take the next step in your career. Applications are welcomed from architects with ARB registration, strong residential sector experience, and the flexibility to adapt to a North American project rhythm from a Scottish setting.
