We are looking for a Year 3 Class Teacher to join our school in Westminster, which we have partnered with. The school is seeking a passionate teacher who has high standards for their pupils and a history of good teaching. The successful candidate will be part of a vibrant teaching team that achieves great results for their pupils. The school has been rated ‘good’ by Ofsted, who praised the teaching team for inspiring their pupils to become confident learners.
Your New Role as a Year 3 Class Teacher
As a Year 3 Class Teacher, some of your duties will include:
* Plan and prepare courses, schemes of work, and individual lessons, appropriate to the needs, interests, experience, and existing knowledge of the pupils in your class.
* Teach a class, or classes, sets, groups, or individual pupils, and set tasks to be undertaken both at school and elsewhere.
* Mark and assess pupils’ work and record their development, progress, and attainment.
* Maintain an attractive and stimulating classroom environment and contribute to displays in the school.
* Participate in whole-school reviews of policy and aims, and in the revision or formulation of guidelines.
* Evaluate and review your own teaching methods, materials, and schemes of work, and make changes as appropriate.
What You Will Need to Succeed
* Qualified Teacher Status.
* Experience in whole class teaching over a sustained period.
* Up-to-date knowledge and experience in planning, delivering, and assessing The National Curriculum.
* Understanding of the principles of child protection in a primary school.
