Be the best that we can be!
The Governors of Sitwell Infant School are seeking to appoint a well-motivated, enthusiastic and passionate Wraparound Care Assistant to join our hardworking, outstanding team. The post is temporary in the first instance but may become permanent if our wraparound provision proves to be successful and sustainable. The post is also subject to a satisfactory probationary period of six months.
We are thrilled to have received funding to provide Wraparound Care at Sitwell Infant School. We are now seeking a part-time Wraparound Care Assistant, who will work under the direction of the Wraparound Care Leader, to provide Sitwell children with after-school care that is high quality and inclusive. Sitwell Infant School has an extensive outdoor area with a large playground, large field, and an onsite woodland area. We will champion our outdoor learning environment to allow pupils to access active experiences, adventure, and opportunities alongside time for downtime. The facilities at Sitwell Infant School will allow the program to include Forest School provision with full Forest School Leader training provided for the successful candidate.
Sitwell Infant School is a large and successful infant school with an inclusive and child-centered ethos. Ofsted judged us Outstanding in June 2014, and we have continued to be relentless in our pursuit for all children to reach their full potential. We are looking for an energetic and talented Wraparound Care Assistant to support us in further developing an exciting, stimulating, and enjoyable wraparound offer for our children.
If you have a strong commitment to raising well-being and self-confidence, are motivated, and want to belong to a wonderful learning community, then you will enjoy being part of our friendly, happy school. We are passionate about teaching and learning and believe it is a privilege to work alongside all children and their families.
We are looking for a Wraparound Care Assistant who:
* Will deliver the wraparound program in the designated indoor and outdoor environments, under the direction of the Wraparound Care Leader
* Will work together with the Wraparound Care Leader to meet the needs and interests of the children in our care
* Builds positive relationships with all parents/carers, communicating clearly with them, encouraging them to participate in their child’s progress and development
* Contributes to a safe, stimulating, and attractive environment
* Liaises with parents/carers regarding bookings
* Settles in new children and provides ongoing support for them and their families, through a Key Person approach
* Interacts positively and enthusiastically with children, considering their individual needs
* Provides a friendly, caring, and relaxed environment to promote and develop children’s learning
* Contributes to planning and resourcing a stimulating, purposeful environment that supports learning both indoors and outdoors
* Is an excellent role model for children, parents, and other staff, displaying a positive and professional attitude
* Ensures the highest standards of safety, security, hygiene, and cleanliness are always operated within the setting
We are able to offer:
* The opportunity to be part of an enthusiastic, fun-loving, and dedicated team of staff
* A happy, stimulating, and safe learning environment
* A strong supportive and highly experienced leadership team and governing body
* Strong supportive partnerships with parents and the wider community
* Opportunities for professional development and training both in school and externally, to develop your own skills as a practitioner
* The opportunity to make a real difference to the lives and futures of our children
We would love to meet caring, hardworking people who want to make a difference to our children's learning and well-being.
