About the Role:
We are looking to recruit a Senior Research Fellow to join the IMPlementation and Capacity building Team (IMPaCT), which works in partnership with NIHR Applied Research Collaboration North West Coast (ARC NWC) and its member organisations, including regional universities, NHS, local authorities and third sector organisations.
The Senior Research Fellow will contribute to the research profile of the University by conducting world-leading research within the Applied Health Research hub (AHRh) and support the implementation of ARC NWC’s research capacity building including its development, delivery and evaluation. The post holder will take responsibility for high-quality research and implementation, evaluation and scholarly activity within health services research projects.
About you:
The post holder will have previous experience in health services research, including previous experience of bidding for research project funding from major funding sources (e.g. research councils, European union, major charities, government) and a track record of high-profile research publications in recognised, high impact journals.
Essential for this role are knowledge of education and training for research within a health and/or social care environment and a track record of successful project management, including experience of setting up health and/or social care research and development projects, including applying for Ethics and R&D approval and liaising with collaborators.
The post holder will have a track record of successful research, innovation and income generation and knowledge/experience of involvement of users and carers.
A Doctorate in health or relevant methodological area is essential to the post, as well as research skills including literature retrieval, data collection, evidence synthesis and critical appraisal.
