We Currently Have The Following Opportunity
Early Years Inclusion Teachers 1.4 FTE (Fixed Term until 23 November 2025) - PKC12391
£33,594 - £50,589 (pro-rata)
Various Locations in the Perth & Kinross Council Area
This role is a busy and varied role that is based in Central Perth but supports families and Early Learning and Childcare (ELC) settings across Perth and Kinross Council.
You Will
* Work with children with additional support needs and parents to support child development and school readiness.
* Develop collaborative and supportive working partnerships with ELC settings to support inclusion.
* Work in partnership with parents, support staff and other professionals.
* Support transition into Primary.
* Contribute to assessment of needs and the formulation and implementation of Child's Plan.
* Develop and support training for ELC settings and Early Years Staff within school.
* Maintain up to date records of all work undertaken with children.
* Undertake appropriate and agreed continuing professional development.
* Participate in issues related to service planning, raising achievement and individual review.
Skills & Experience Required
You Must
* Be able to develop and maintain appropriate relationships with parents, children, staff and other professionals.
* Have experience and an interest in supporting children with a range of additional support needs within a range of ELC settings.
* Demonstrate experience of multi-agency working.
* Have experience of learning and teaching within an Early Years context.
* Have experience of preparing and delivering differentiated work.
* Be able to demonstrate knowledge of relevant current curriculum developments.
* Be able to apply a variety of teaching strategies in order to meet the needs of all learners.
* Be able to use ICT in relation to learning and record keeping.
* Have a valid UK driving licence as this post requires you to travel to a variety of locations across Perth and Kinross.
* Have, or be eligible for, GTC Scotland registration.
* Have a Diploma/Degree in Primary Education.
