Job Description
This position is part of the UK Centre of Excellence (CoE) Financial Accounting team. The role involves the provision of support to the UK CoE Financial Controller and two Financial Accountants. The main activities concern preparation of reconciling the inter-company balances, SSF management accounts, IFRS 16 lease accounting and preparing for a new company wide ERP.
Key Relationships:
* Internal - the UK CoE Financial Accounting Department; Department Managers; other departments within the UK CoE; the broader AtkinsRéalis Finance community (including overseas FC).
* External - occasionally AtkinsRéalis suppliers & customers.
Your Purpose:
* Preparation of UK CoE monthly management accounts, budgets and quarterly forecasts.
* Completion of monthly continuity and enrichment schedules in FCCS.
* Completion of forms for the Office of National Statistics.
* Coding of internal recharges from Corporate.
* Preparation of month-end journals.
* Review and enter exchange rates and project rates into JDE.
* Assist with the monthly inter-company reconciliation process and feedback to Group companies (over 80 overseas entities).
* Reconciliation of intercompany balances using Blackline.
* Liaising with intercompany contacts to resolve invoicing queries and ensure timely payments.
* Raising intercompany invoices.
* Raising payment requests for intercompany payments.
* Assistance with the preparation of Corporation Tax packs for 15 statutory companies.
* Analysis and submission of related party transactions for parent company.
* Assisting with annual transfer pricing invoices. Providing data to auditors via Deloitte Connect.
Other Tasks as Required:
* Assisting other UK CoE Teams, including Corporate Accounting and Statutory Reporting.
* Updating files and processes in preparation for the transition from JDE to Oracle.
Technical and Professional Experience:
* Part-qualified in a recognised professional accountancy qualification.
* The candidate must have an advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including use and set-up of Pivot tables and formulas.
* Experience of an accounting software package, preferably Oracle.
