Job summary We are pleased to offer a exciting role of Dispensary Manager, to manage and develop our in house Dispensary. Holmes Chapel Health Centre has a patient list of nearly 13,000 and our prescription hub, integral to the Dispensary manages the prescription requests for all patients and dispenses to approximately 4,500 patients. We are located in the centre of Holmes Chapel, close to bus and rail links and also able to offer free staff parking too. Main duties of the job Line Manage team of Dispensers and Administrators. Ideally a qualified Dispenser yourself, and so able to give direction and also dispense if staffing gaps exist. Ensure all claims for payments are submitted correctly and in good time to business services authority. Lead on DSQS submission and attainment of targets from NHS appertaining to Dispensing income. Ensure monthly CD cabinet check is signed off. Authorise leave/time-off, ensuring appropriate cover is available to provide a consistent service for our patients. Develop improved ways of working, reviewing exisiting Standard Operating Proceedures. There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels: To be responsible for planning and allocating work for all dispensary staff. To oversee all dispensing matters within the practice, checking colleagues dispensing as required.
