Interim Finance Business Partner (Hybrid/Remote)
Location: Reading, Berkshire
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Rate: £500 - £600 per day, inside IR35
Contract: Temporary (3 Months Minimum)
Role Summary:
This role will provide Finance Business Partner support within the Department of Economic Growth and Neighbourhood Services, focusing on budget areas including Planning, Transport, Public Protection, Waste Disposal, Departmental Management, and Sustainability.
Responsibilities:
* Support budget managers in providing monthly budget forecasts of the Expenditure and Income position, feeding into the Budget Monitoring reports.
* Involved in the setting of budgets in the specified areas, including modelling Payroll Establishment changes, suggesting and actioning budget virements, and loading budgets.
* Provide general financial advice and support to budget holders on all aspects of the Finance function.
Experience Required:
* CCAB (or equivalent) qualified accountant with significant post-qualification experience.
* Extensive experience of working within local government finance as a business partner, ideally with direct experience supporting Environment services such as planning, transport, public protection, or Waste Disposal/sustainability.
Working Arrangements: Remote or Hybrid working - the successful candidate can expect to be in the office 1-2 days a month if hybrid.
