We currently have an opportunity for a Engineering Team Leader to work as part of our team at Ruskington site.
Shift Pattern: 2 Days 2 Nights ON & 4 OFF 07:00 – 19:00 / 19:00 - 07:00

Our ideal candidate will lead by example and drive a culture of continuous improvement, motivating the engineering team to deliver sustainable reliability of equipment through proactive maintenance. Taking ownership of the department whilst on shift, maintaining systems essential to the operation of an efficient engineering department, you will also:
* Execute planned and unplanned maintenance activities to agreed standards, always ensuring safe working.
* Ensure all site assets are maintained to a high standard and meet site requirements, ensuring availability at all times.
* Apply a robust and clearly communicated safe system of work for all activities undertaken.
* Deliver on relevant Engineering Key Performance Indicators.
* Ensure engineering stock control on all parts used – booked out and accounted for correctly within the required systems.
* Coach, train, and provide understanding to production colleagues to achieve continual improvements in equipment knowledge/performance.
* Act with integrity at all times to build a culture of professional engineering and proactive equipment-focused continuous improvement skills.
The successful candidate must hold an electrical qualification of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent as a minimum and be 17th edition certified. You must be an excellent fault finder and have strong mechanical skills with a good working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and PLCs. You will be expected to accurately record all maintenance work using our computerised maintenance system, so strong computer skills are a must.
This role is crucial to the efficient running of the site, and therefore you will be required to demonstrate excellent communication skills when liaising with internal departments and external contractors. A flexible and proactive approach is essential to ensure the overall needs of the business are met. Ideally, you will have direct experience of working with food processing and packaging equipment; however, familiarisation training on this specialist equipment can be provided for the right candidate.
