Main duties of the job With the Head of Midwifery oversee the development, facilitation and implementation of appropriate training and development programmes for midwives, nurses and support staff that enhance practice and care whilst meeting Trust objectives and Government initiatives. Line manage the inpatient Band 7 midwives ensuring robust systems and processes that ensure there is a continuing improvement in the quality of the service provided to women and their babies, safety to staff and visitors to the Trust's premises.
