Job Overview We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Machine Learning Data Annotator. As a Data Annotator at Malted AI, you will play a crucial role in improving the accuracy and efficiency of our algorithms and models by meticulously labelling and annotating various types of data. You will play a key part in creating taxonomies of different types of data and managing quality control annotation projects. As part of the team, you will be at the forefront of the development of Malted AI, shaping our approach to data collection and quality assurance. You will collaborate closely with the machine learning and software development teams to develop new SLMs to solve the enterprise’s hardest problems. You will also work with our commercial team as we identify new business verticals to ensure the successful delivery of new product offerings to clients. Key Responsibilities - Work as a peer reviewing and accurately labeling various types of data according to predefined guidelines and criteria, ensuring quality. - Work closely with machine learning engineers to iteratively improve guidelines and datasets analysing annotated data and providing insights to improve algorithms and models. - Develop and document annotation guidelines and taxonomies for different datasets. - Support the creation and use of new annotation approaches, created leveraging the capabilities of Large Language Models (LLMs). - Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including the software development and commercial team to support various projects and initiatives. - Continuously monitor annotation quality through statistical analysis and auditing. - Quickly grasp new topics to be annotated. - Identify patterns and trends in model generated data to improve the ML team outputs Requirements - Fast-speed reader and data processor. - Technically savvy. - Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and implementation teams. - Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills. - Sharp attention to detail, organised and process-oriented. - Be curious and enjoy reading about new topics - Ability to thrive in a vibrant, intense start-up environment, and adapt to the changing needs of a rapidly growing company. - Native-level proficiency in English. - Must be eligible to work in the UK. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience developing annotation guidelines and quality assurance protocols. - Previous experience working within the banking, financial services, legal, wealth management and/or banking sectors. - Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field like linguistics, paralegals, data science, software or AI. - Previous experience working on data annotation, data labelling, discovery or due diligence projects. - Experience in quality assurance roles. - Knowledge or experience in coding.
