The Role:
M&G is committed to enhancing our digital channels to engage with our customers and advisers. We're hiring for a stand-out individual to bring to life our content engagement strategy across our core social media channels.
The Senior Content Manager will shape and drive forward our social media strategy aligned with our overall marketing goals with a specific focus on story-telling, across both our B2B and B2C sectors, crafting and providing engaging content and creative, together with overseeing our core social channel development, including where M&G could explore new content strategies for new channels.
We're looking for an individual to drive the development of the content narrative, someone who can work across our functions to curate and deliver impactful communications.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy aligned with business objectives to amplify messaging across our social media channels.
* Own and manage the content calendar, ensuring it aligns with thematic research, thought leadership and go to market messaging.
* Develop executive track communications, to amplify the messaging of key spokespeople, and develop a persona narrative for individuals.
* Collaborate with marketing channels and sales teams to align content messaging with campaign goals.
* Create and manage the content effectiveness test framework, using insights, A/B testing and data to constantly adapt our voice and amplification.
* Collaborate in conjunction with the Head of Content, to implement content activation and dissemination guidelines to optimise key audience messaging.
* Collaborate with UX, UI and Creative colleagues to build powerful and visually appealing infographics, video and headline design.
* Work effectively with internal communications to develop employee engagement and advocacy, including close collaboration with our voice of the customer team, to identify trends in comments that will spark ideas for content support.
* Keep everyone safe - develop in conjunction with Brand, Risk and Compliance clear control policies
Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
* You possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, the ability to write with a clear, concise and engaging purpose.
* You know how to develop and implement effective content strategies across a range of social channels.
* You're a creative thinker, someone who can generate innovative ideas and convey them to get everyone to buy-in to your vision.
* You're able to visually storyboard concepts, aligned to content execution and can brief your ideas to generate artwork, video or infographics to maximise content narrative.
* You understand data triggers, and can work with analysts to develop impactful dashboards to highlight and convey impact, engagement and conversion.
* You've solid problem-solving skills that you use to identify and address challenges.
* You're effective at time management, and can balance multiple tasks and deadlines.
* You're autonomous in managing your workload and taking decisions whilst ensuring you engage across teams with your communication.
* You have a wider appreciation of the connected digital ecosystem, from SEO to Websites, and you can work across teams to align content messaging.
