We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Management Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial accounting and management, with proficiency in various accounting software. This role is essential for ensuring the accuracy of financial reports and supporting the financial health of the organisation. The Management Accountant will play a key role in mentoring junior finance staff and contributing to the overall financial strategies of our businesses. Responsibilities Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Oversee accounts payable & receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping. Work with Directors to identify and develop new business opportunities, supported by financial insights. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, monitoring performance against targets. Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and analysing internal reports. Monitor spending and provide recommendations for cost reduction and profitability enhancement. Implement and maintain high-quality financial controls and reporting systems, focusing on continuous improvement. Offer strategic data-driven financial planning advice to support decision-making. Mentor book keepers, providing guidance on best practices and professional development. Submission of annual filings on Companies House. Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies. Experience Must be professionally qualified in accounting CIMA/ACA/ACCA. Strong knowledge of financial management principles and practices, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Strong commercial skills with an analytical mindset. Proficient in Microsoft Office (365), Excel, Xero, and Sage 50. Experience in payroll and HR. Experience in mentoring or training junior staff members is highly desirable. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly. Desirable - Familiarity with ecommerce sales channels.
