We're searching for a full-time Switchboard Operator to join the team at Worcestershire Royal Hospital. You'll play a crucial role in connecting callers to the right places, handling approximately 3000+ calls a day, and assisting both internal and external inquiries, including emergency calls.
Responsibilities:
1. Answer internal and external calls within the agreed KPI and SLA agreements.
2. Provide efficient, courteous, and helpful support to callers.
3. Operate internal bleep system.
4. Proactively maintain the computer database of hospital personnel, departments, and telephone numbers.
5. Undertake any clerical duties deemed necessary in order to promote efficiency at all times.
6. Required to work public and bank holidays, should your shift fall on that day as our department operates 24/7, 365 days a year.
Requirements:
1. Important to have good communication and clerical skills.
2. Be reliable and able to work well as part of a team.
3. Able to cope well under pressure.
4. Previous experience would be preferred but not essential; full training will be given.
