JOB TITLE: Head of Audit Quality, Method & Platforms
SALARY: £124,653 - £181,610
LOCATION(S): Edinburgh, Bristol or London
HOURS: Full time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our strategic hubs (Edinburgh, Bristol or London)
Boldly pursuing our ambition, we strive to be the leading internal audit function and seek your assistance in developing the most innovative and effective practice. We start from a strong position of having invested heavily in native cloud platforms and being conformant with the new International standards - but "good enough" is not good enough for us. If you're an innovator, a boundary pusher and a change agent - we want you, and we'll give you the support, investment and reassurance to lead the industry.
About this opportunity
As LBG's Head of Audit Quality, Method & Platforms, you will lead the development and embedding of a world-class audit methodology. This will be supported by industry-leading technology to increase the productivity and effectiveness of auditors. Critically you will drive the AI revolution into all aspects of Internal Audit practice, redefining how auditors risk assess, plan, implement and evaluate the outcomes and impact of their work in LBG to deliver on our aspiration to be the leading internal audit function.
You will also be responsible for the independent quality assurance of audit and supporting activities - holding colleagues and leaders to account for delivering effective, efficient and high-quality audits, and deploying the potential of AI to evaluate and improve quality of work throughout the lifecycle.
Assume responsibility for the method, the supporting systems, and the assurance of quality collectively to establish a "virtuous circle" of continuous improvement. This will involve incorporating insights from quality assurance to improve methodology, mentorship, training, and tooling promptly.
You'll apply deep understanding of the audit process, relevant standards and regulations, and the interconnectivity of the three lines of defence to work closely with 1st and 2nd line of defence leaders in the transformation of risk management and culture across Lloyds Banking Group. You'll use your understanding and experience to influence positive change which leads to overall sustainable improvements in risk management through your insightful contribution to the wider lines-of-defence strategy and community.
You'll build trust, respect and confidence among colleagues across the function to develop strong relationships and higher levels of collaboration, including management of a multidisciplinary team, and will proactively identify areas to add strategic and sustainable value for the organisation and for our customers.
What are we looking for?
We're looking for a bold and innovate leader with vision, who turns ideas into action rapidly, learns and fails fast, and takes colleagues and stakeholders along with them.
Whilst you will be individually highly capable, you will deliver most effectively as part of a team-of-teams to achieve the best outcomes and make a positive difference to the Group and its customers. You will cut through hierarchy, silos and bureaucracy with a relentless focus on helping Group Audit & Conduct Investigations to be the very best it can be in service of our wider Group and Customers in support of the ultimate purpose of Helping Britain Prosper.
