Job purpose: Within the framework of assistance to its subsidiary Kansai Airport (40% VINCI share), VINCI Airports looks for a Financial Controller VIE. Kansai Airports operates, through concession agreements, 3 airports in Kansai Region: - Kansai International Airport (KIX), - Itami Airport (ITM), - Kobe Airport (UKB). The Role The VIE will hierarchically report to Deputy CFO (VINCI expatriate, based in OSAKA - Japan), and operationally to Finance Direction of VINCI Airports (Nanterre – France). The missions Within the framework of the technical service agreement (TSA), main functions of the VIE will be: Supports KANSAI Airports for VINCI Airports and VINCI Group reporting needs: - Generally contributes to qualitative reporting and communication from KAP Finance department to VINCI Airports HQ Finance and VINCI Group Finance contacts - Lead action plans so as to constantly improve quality and efficiency of reporting especially though power BI platform and other systems - Monthly follow-up of operational performance indicators and reports requested by VINCI Airports (“Power BI Dashboard”, Enterprise Performance Management tool): reports and keeps tracks of business, ESG and financial metrics such as detail of revenue, passengers traffic mix, retail performance, operational costs, investment implementation, headcount, overtime, cash management, CO2 emissions … - Explains the profit and loss statements and reports submitted to the HQ office - Contribute to the preparation of the annual budget (initial and 3 updates) - Contribute to the yearly update of Operating Financial model (long term plan for concession) - Contribute to the quarterly financial reporting to VINCI Group according to IFRS standards including calculation of specific provisions Supports KANSAI Airports regarding the data management, automatic reporting and financial analysis: - Contribute to the centralization of financial data in a data warehouse / data lake - Implementation and maintenance of automatic business report (through Power BI) that are relevant to the business and users. - Follow-up benchmark results and analysis in collaboration of Vinci Airports on different streams of revenues and costs. - Support ad-hoc missions and analysis (e.g. business opportunities, CAPEX decision, decision-making models, processes review …) Dimensions: Works with ample level of autonomy, reporting directly to the French Deputy CFO in a full Japanese environment. Person Skills and Experience - Advanced understanding of accounting; concession framework is a plus - Advance level in Microsoft Power BI (developer) - Previous experience in project finance including financial modelling is a plus - Strong and proven analytical skills - Self-motivated, self-driven, ability to take challenges - Creative, curious, and pro-active - Good communications skills in full Japanese environment - Languages: Business level in English Japanese is plus (not mandatory; wish to learn Japanese) Location This role is based in OSAKA, Kansai International Airport Starting date: December 2024 Why us?
