South Gloucestershire, BS35 4BD Follow this link to find out more about the course - Civil engineering technician / Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education What You’ll Do: As a Structures Inspector Apprentice, your overall objective of this role is to ensure the effective delivery of the inspection and maintenance program for Infrastructure services for the SBIM contract. As an Apprentice, you will work alongside the team to: Work at height and over the water (River Severn, Wye & Avon). Comply with the Inspection Management System/Programs in accordance with approved Inspection manuals/schedules. Work with the Inspection team across the three structures to deliver the Inspection program Work with the inspection team to deliver inspection reports on time to the client. Use share point and defect reporting programs to ensure reports and defects are logged against assets. Gain training through internal and external sources (Working at height, NDT, Rope access) to help with completing inspection programs. Why Join Us? What You’ll Bring: Qualifications The apprenticeship entry requirements will be determined by Amey in collaboration with the academic delivery partner. England based applicants will typically require at least 5 GCSEs at Grades A-C / 9-4 including Maths (Grade B / 5 or 6), English and Science or their equivalent. Applicants based in Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland should expect to demonstrate an equivalent level of academic qualifications to those required in England. Skills Full driving license Able to demonstrate basic technical skills within the relevant technical discipline, together with a strong desire to improve their competencies over the course of the apprenticeship.
