A bit about the role...
We’re looking for a hands-on technical leader to design and build an inventory analytics solution on an existing Snowflake data platform.
This role involves solution design, requirements gathering, and leading a growing team of data engineers to create a world-class data-driven inventory system.
So, if you’re an experienced Principal Data Consultant with expertise in SAP inventory management, Snowflake, and data analytics, and have a passion for designing data solutions that drive real business value, then we’d love to hear from you!
What you'll be doing...
* Designing an inventory analytics solution for logistics optimisation
* Gathering requirements and working closely with stakeholders to shape the data strategy
* Leading and managing a team of data engineers (starting with 1 but will grow over time)
* Working with SAP data extractors (including BW extractors and CDS views) to integrate data into Snowflake
* Building dashboards in Power BI (not just visualisation, but data modelling and extraction too)
* Ensuring seamless integration between SAP, Snowflake, and other data sources
What you'll need to succeed...
* Extensive experience in SAP inventory management & analytics
* A functional understanding of SAP Material Management and experience with SAP Logistics Analytics
* Strong expertise in Snowflake (or similar platforms like Redshift/BigQuery)
* A deep understanding of SAP BW extractors and CDS views
* Hands-on Power BI experience (data modelling, extraction, dashboarding)
* Experience leading a small data team
* Knowledge of ETL tools like Matillion or Informatica is a bonus
