We're looking for a Process Engineer with experience in manufacturing environments and best practices in Continuous Improvement. The individual will ideally have some leadership experience and be capable of development to take more senior manufacturing roles as part of our talent pipeline. Key responsibilities are to:
1. Organise, implement and maintain production process flow.
2. Contribute to the creation and maintenance of SAP Master Data ahead of implementation in 2025.
3. Develop standard operating procedures, process documents and ensure they are followed.
4. Continually improve existing operations for increased quality, productivity, and cost savings.
5. Investigate operational problems affecting production and recommend solutions.
6. Liaise with production planner/scheduler to ensure released products have adequate BOM and routings.
7. Manage manufacturing documentation required for product manufacturing, i.e., revise drawings, BOM, accurate work instructions, and workmanship standards.
8. Provide manufacturing data, i.e., production control charts, reliability, process capability, to improve the process and monitor progress to target.
9. Organise meetings with team members to facilitate growth.
10. Identify ways to reduce production costs through recommendations, i.e., new process equipment, equipment justification to improve performance.
11. Liaise with suppliers on manufacturing processes.
12. Train and supervise staff on new development processes and technology.
13. Establish a training and quality culture.
14. Work with design engineering on DFX (design for excellence) to include:
1. Design for cost.
2. Design for test.
3. Design for manufacturability.
4. Design for assembly.
15. Work with other relevant departments to determine estimated costs, run time, cost reduction, and close the feedback.

Pay: £39,000.00-£43,000.00 per year
