As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dynamic and motivated Multi-Skilled Support Engineer to join our team.
The Role:
As a Multi-Skilled Support Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the success of our workshop and machinery build operations, as well as the delivery of our aftermarket services to customers. This position involves a diverse set of responsibilities, including workshop tasks, machinery build, installations, and responding to customer breakdowns. You will ensure that our machinery is built to the highest standards and that any issues are resolved swiftly and efficiently, minimising downtime for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Undertake various tasks within our workshop, including assembly, build, testing, refurbishments and maintenance of machinery.
2. Travel to client sites to install equipment, ensuring it is set up correctly and operates as intended.
3. Respond to customer breakdowns, diagnosing problems, and performing repairs on-site or remotely, ensuring minimal disruption to their operations.
4. Maintain accurate records of all builds, installations, planned services, and repairs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
5. Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, efficiency, and safety.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a Support Engineer, Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, or a similar role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
2. Strong electrical and mechanical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex machinery.
3. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication skills.
5. Relevant technical qualifications (Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Engineering degree, Engineering apprenticeship).
This role requires frequent travel to our HQ in Bromsgrove and to customer sites throughout the UK & Ireland, so a UK Driving Licence is essential as well as the flexibility to travel (including occasional overnight stays).
We Offer:
1. A competitive base salary between £40,000 to £45,000 pa.
2. Additional Overtime Payments for hours worked above 37.5hrs and for weekend working.
3. Company Vehicle with fuel card (business and commute miles included).
