You will be responsible for managing and coordinating the operations of the Building Maintenance Section of Place Services. This includes maintenance and investment contracts, reflecting Best Value, legislative and financial requirements of the Service, statutory obligations, service delivery targets, and strategic objectives. You will take decisions or actions in accordance with the Council's Scheme of Delegation and liaise closely with client services to ensure that a high level of performance and quality of service is achieved.
To be eligible for this role, you must have a Construction-related degree or equivalent professional qualification, as well as a Property Maintenance qualification or equivalent. You must also be a member of the Institute of Maintenance and Building Management.
You will have significant experience in Senior Management and project management with strong commercial acumen. You must be able to manage and lead projects involving the reallocation of staff and financial resources and produce high-quality reports. Advanced computer and IT skills are also required.
