Design engineer

Pertemps Bristol Industrial are currently recruiting for a Design Engineer for one of our clients based in BS21.



* Monday to Friday

* 38.5hrs per week

* Permanent

* Office based or hybrid working

* £45,000 per annum



Job Details:

1. Design, development and support of power and control circuits, both digital and analog

2. New product implementation as part of the Design Team

3. Research of electronics and power circuits

4. Understand product requirements and implementation of these in the product and application, whilst understanding commercial and business requirements

5. Follow departmental processes relating to management of designs and also the company-wide new product development processes.

6. Working through product life cycle, from schematic, layout, proof of concept, supply chain, tests, approvals to product delivery

7. Prepares and presents proposals and solutions to other members of the Design team and project stakeholders at design reviews

8. Provide expertise on the customer application to guide the design process.

9. Carries out detailed electronic circuit design and layout, including simulation and design verification testing of the new design.

10. Component selection and management, considering obsolescence, availability and cost.
