A UK SaaS business are giving their suite of products a "face lift" and are looking for a Software Development Manager to drive technical innovation and play a critical role in shaping the technology strategy Hybrid is the ideal working model but this role can be worked on a majority remote basis if preferred but you must be local enough to make the odd trip to the Norwich office. The day to day : You'll design and develop a SaaS solution whilst ensuring high standards across architecture, delivery and QA. You'll lead and mentor a cross-functional team of around 10 Software and QA Engineers where you'll champion collaboration, continuous learning and innovation within the team. You'll work with various departments to align technology initiatives with business strategies so budgets, resource and capacity planning will all be important From ideation to deployment, you'll oversee the product development lifecycle. Develop release management processes and ensure smooth software releases and improve CI/CD pipelines, automation, and testing where necessary Required experience : Proven experience as a senior engineering leader whether that be in a managerial or technical leadership role. Hands-on experience in software development and architecture, particularly in C#.NET, ASP.NET. There are a small handful of legacy apps that need some maintenance so knowledge of desktop technologies is required. Strong project management skills and a track record of delivering complex technical projects. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
