What Will You Do?
* Supervise and coordinate electrical teams working on renewable installations (air source heat pumps, solar PV, and associated systems).
* Carry out desk top surveys on electrical installations to ensure high quality & compliance standards
* Plan and manage the electrical aspects of multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring compliance with project timelines and budgets.
* Carry out site surveys, assess electrical requirements, and liaise with design and installation teams.
* Ensure all electrical installations comply with relevant regulations, standards (e.g., BS7671), and health & safety requirements.
* Conduct quality checks and testing of installed systems (including commissioning of solar PV and heat pump systems).
* Maintain accurate documentation, including electrical certificates, schematics, and inspection reports.
* Act as the main point of contact for electrical matters both internally and with clients and subcontractors.
* Coordinate DNO applications and liaise with the grid/network operators when necessary.
What Are We Looking For?
Essential:
* NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
* Proven experience in supervising or coordinating electrical work, ideally in the renewables sector.
* Excellent knowledge of solar PV, electrical heating systems, and grid connection requirements.
* ECS Gold Card or equivalent.
* Strong understanding of health and safety practices and risk assessments.
* Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
o Inspection & Testing qualification (e.g., 2391 or 2394/5).
o Experience with battery storage systems or EV chargers.
o Familiarity with MCS and PAS2030 standards.
o SMSTS/SSSTS or similar site supervision qualification.
