Job Description A thermal insulation installer is responsible for installing and maintaining insulation systems in a variety of Industrial and commercial settings. This job involves working with a variety of insulation materials, such as fiberglass, foam, nitrile rubber and cellotex, and installing them onto ventilation ducting, pipework and other areas of buildings to improve energy efficiency and reduce heating and cooling costs. Duties include: Measuring and cutting insulation materials to fit specific spaces, using tools such as knives, scissors, and saws. Installing insulation to pipework, ductwork, valves, flanges, vessels & tanks, using fasteners, adhesives, and other materials as necessary. Ensuring that insulation is properly sealed and fitted to prevent air leakage and maximize energy efficiency. Inspecting existing insulation systems and recommending repairs or replacements as needed. Removing old or damaged insulation materials and disposing of them safely. Working safely and efficiently to complete insulation projects on time and within budget. Keeping accurate records of work completed, materials used, and other relevant information. Maintaining tools and equipment in good working order and ensuring that they are properly cleaned and stored after use. Different aspects of cladding and weatherproofing. The ideal candidate You will have some construction site experience. Good understanding of Health and safety procedures and practices. Friendly and works well as part of a team. Willing to work overtime if required. Willing to work away occasionally. Full UK Driving licence Previous experience with Thermal insulation would be advantageous. Experience in sheet metalwork would be advantageous
