The CTCCS is a joint NHS andPolice Mental Health Team whichfacilitates information sharing withlocal mental health services forindividuals who have come to theattention of Counter TerrorismPolicing and who are thought toeither present a risk of seriousharm or have safeguarding,welfare or treatment needs in thecontext of mental disorder. The aim of the team is to work with counter-terrorism officers in assessing and managing the risks posed by individuals with severe mental illness through advice, consultation, and detailed formulations to aid understanding. Please note this is a national service and therefore there will be an expectation of regular travel to other sites within the region, including overnight stays on occasion.
